Spiritual Growth against Apostasy

We have seen in chapter 5 the warning about being a baby Christian, we are not to just live on milk, we are to grow into spiritual maturity. The growth into spiritual maturity brings about the ability to discern between good and evil, and in having this ability is a sign of a person who is accustomed to the words of righteousness. The main warning in chapter 5 is not to become dull of hearing, now as we open chapter 6 we are going to see the steps of maturity and a warning of the difference between professing faith and actually living in that faith.
