Headship and Head Covering part 2

This is going to be the second part of this message series on headship and head coverings. Last week we discovered that headship was an authority role. We looked at two examples the first being Satan and his desire to be more important and self serving which got him removed from his role and cast out of heaven. The second was Christ, who although was God humbled Himself and accepted the role God the Father had given Him. Christ fulfilled that role and is in heaven at the right hand of God of the Father. These two great contrast give us the example we need as we are faced with the choice of submitting to the authority placed over us by God the Father or rejecting that authority and operating from a place of disobedience and the consequences are plain. These are the roles that have been set since before creation their structure and implications are vast.

Today, we focus on head covering and the difference between man and a woman in created order. This is not about making one gender less than another, this is about roles that where ordained by God and for His purpose. The intent and purpose is to find what God’s Word has to say and follow that.

This is a difficult passage and needs to be carefully studied and discerned through the power of the Holy Spirit.
