The Tongue

There is a saying that the “mouth engaged before the brain did”, or that “he put his foot in his mouth,” these sayings and the many others that go along with it all refer back to the same thing, a problem with the mouth, but more than that, it is that muscular organ that hides behind our teeth. It always seems to be rushing in and flailing about before we can even comprehend what is going on.

This study is about the most difficult part of the body to control. In one moment it can be praising to the next cursing. It has been known to prevent wars and start wars. The root of its influence is both high and low, sinister and sincere. What could have such power and influence, the tongue.

James is going to break this all down for us and he even includes himself within the very teaching he is giving demonstrating how nobody is above this problem.
