"I AM" the Vine Dresser

*This passage is connected to 6 “I AM” statements throughout the book of John, this being the final one there are many overlapping truths that Jesus is going to be repeating to His disciples. *

We have seen 6 of Jesus’ I AM statements, John 6:35 is the Bread of Life, John 8:12 is the Light of the World, John 10:9 is the Gate, John 10:11 is the Good Shepherd, John 11:25-26 the Resurrection and the Life, and finally John 14:6 is the WAY, the Truth, and the Life. Today we are going to study the Vine. This final statement is the pivotal statement connecting the other six together and sealing the completion of the seven statements.

It is within this final I AM statement that we will see that those who abide in Christ will bear fruit, but on the other side, those who do not abide in Christ have a much harder reality to deal with as they will be pruned and burned with fire. So many believe this is in reference to the lost, those who have not chosen Jesus as Lord and Savior, sadly it is not it is in reference to the some timer Christians, and those who think they can do it better.
