The Reward of Trials

James has introduced himself as a willing servant of God. He has told us that in trials that we are have joy because they will produce a perfect result.

He goes on to instruct us that in faith we are to ask God for wisdom, and that we are not to be double minded about it because it makes us unstable.

He continues with informing us that in our willing service to God is actually a high position although the world would see being a servant as a low position. He also tells us that those who think they have everything and in the worlds eye is in a high position because it seems they have everything is actually in a low position because they have nothing.

James is now going to again speak of trials, he is going to speak of the promise that is given to those who follow the Lord (willing servant), however, he is going to instruct us about sin and its source, and the difference from what God gives.
